Aerial Photography of the ocean

Recently I was on an exciting assignment to shoot something for a magazine which involved me hanging out of a Helicopter at 200km per hour 4000ft above sea level! It’s not at all as scary as it sounds though. It actually wasn’t much different to hanging out of a car, just a hell of a lot more fun!  I honestly thought I would be a bit nervous but the whole experience didn’t bother me in the slightest. More on that assignment coming up in a later blog post, but here I just thought I would share a few snaps that I took of the landscape while I was up there.

We departed Jandakot airport located near the Kwinana Freeway and Roe Highway intersection. Once airborne we proceeded South-West out towards Garden Island, passing over the Perth Motorplex and refineries. Just to give you an idea of where these photos were taken. Read on to see the photos…
